Guardians for state police employees of Nevada
In 1972, the Nevada Highway Patrol Association was formed. Our founding members formed the Association to protect and advocate for the rights and working conditions of Nevada State Troopers.
Now known as the Nevada Police Union, we currently represent both sworn and non-sworn members of the State Police, University Police, Department of Wildlife, State Parks, and the Department of Agriculture.

a century of service to Nevada law enforcement
Over 100 years of history...
Previously known as the Nevada Highway Patrol Association, or “NHPA”, we have served our members since 1972 , by providing benefits and protective features that cannot be supplied by the Nevada State Police.

How we move Nevada forward
The Nevada Police Union works across three fronts to strengthen law enforcement and build safer communities. We listen to our members, engage with legislators, and collaborate with community leaders to create real change.
Legal Defense
We provide comprehensive legal defense services to ensure that our members are protected in all legal matters related to their duties.
Scholarships
Our scholarship program is dedicated to supporting the educational pursuits and aspirations of law enforcement families throughout Nevada, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.
Wellness & support
Our wellness and support initiatives focus on fostering a sense of community and belonging, ensuring that our members and the neighborhoods they serve thrive together.

The Nevada Police Union represents nearly 1,000 line level state police officers, supervisors, dispatchers, and civilian personnel across Nevada. We exist to protect and advance the well-being of our members through steadfast advocacy for fair compensation, benefits, and working conditions that enable our communities to receive the highest level of service.
